Want that perfect paint job?
No matter how careful you are spills and splatters happen. It pays to use a drop cloth. For about $15.00 you can buy a 4-ft x 15-ft canvas drop cloth. (Called hallway drop) They will stay in place except on slick hardwood floors. I would recommend a roll of rosin cloth for about $10.00 at home centers. With rosin cloth you use masking tape and tape the joints first. Then cover with the drop cloth. No matter, if paint gets spilled, clean up immediately. Don’t let the spill seep through. If you splatter drops of paint else where, wipe up immediately. A good canvas drop cloth is worth is weight in gold.
